Ramadan 2026 (1447 AH) is almost here! This blessed month, a time of fasting, prayer, reflection, charity, and drawing closer to Allah, is expected to begin on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 (with the first fast on that day), depending on the sighting of the crescent moon. Dates can vary by 1-2 days based on local moon sighting announcements, so check with your local mosque or authority.Key information for observing Ramadan:Fasting (Sawm): From dawn (Fajr) until sunset (Maghrib) — abstain from food, drink, smoking, and intimate relations.
Suhoor: Pre-dawn meal to start the day.
Iftar: Breaking the fast at sunset, often with dates and water, followed by prayer.
Extra worship: Increase Salah, Quran recitation, Taraweeh prayers at night, and giving Zakat/Sadaqah.
Laylat al-Qadr (Night of Power): Falls in the last 10 nights (often sought on the odd nights, especially the 27th) — better than a thousand months.
The month lasts 29 or 30 days, ending around mid-March 2026, followed by Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
May Allah grant us all a blessed, peaceful, and spiritually fulfilling Ramadan. Ramadan Mubarak in advance!
